Bwebukya Development Foundation (BDF) is a community-based, non-profit organization established in 2021 and formalized in February 2022 as a CBO, situated in the heart of Butambala district. Founded by Hajji Sulaiman Magala, a seasoned educationist and the founder of Kibibi Muslim Secondary School, BDF is dedicated to empowering the local community through targeted interventions in education, health, and economic development.
Our mission is to address key issues such as poverty, human rights abuses, cultural and traditional values, unemployment, teenage marriages, and disease prevention. Incorporated as a company in 2024 (Registration No: 80034758908806), BDF operates under the laws of the Republic of Uganda and is committed to being a voice for rural communities, fostering sustainable development and social justice. Since our inception, we have implemented various impactful projects, improving the lives of many in Butambala and beyond. Our vision is to create a dignified, active, healthy, secure, and empowered community, with continuous engagement and support from local stakeholders and international partners.
